Yesterday we had our annual crawfish boil for the Command. It was great to see everyone come together and pull this event off. The weather was less than pleasant, but at least it wasn’t raining. (Silver lining) The winds were varying from 10 to 15 mph.
Five 50lbs bags of crawfish were gone in a matter of minutes. Beef hotdogs were served for those that couldn’t eat the crawfish. Needless to say, we ran out of food quick.
Despite the weather and our mis-judgment of everyone’s appetite I would count this event as a success. With two bounce houses and a play ground for the children, and tailgate games for the adults, there was plenty of fun for everyone. At one point, a sno-cone truck showed up and provided free sno-cones for the children.
A big Thanks goes out to everyone who helped to make this a success. 🙂
