Most people do not like the body they are in. It’s amazing to learn that fact because we are stuck with what we are given. But there’s the point. No matter what we do or how we change, we are still in the same body.
Make a list of the things you like about your body. Now make a contrasting list stating the things you dislike about your body. It’s easier to list things that we don’t like.Isn’t it? Trust me when I say my negative list was long also. So, in the spirit of staying positive, let’s make a rule that reduces the negative items. Let’s say that for every two positive items we can only have one negative item. If we only have one positive then we should have zero negatives. Two or three positives equals one negative. The positive list has no limitations. By following these rules we should end up with a list that contains twice as much positive items as negatives.
Personality can change how someone looks. Perception is the biggest contributor to how we appear to others. Someone who always looks down on others always seems to appear less attractive than someone who shows appreciation for others. We do live in a superficial society that is quick to judge. That’s why it’s important for us to learn to love who we are. There are aspects that have been given to us that cannot be changed. They should not become a stumbling block for us. We should learn to adapt and overcome. Life is not perfect but it is beautiful; and so are we.
