Stretch it!

Take a moment and stretch. The benefits are worth the time invested.

Increased range of movement in the joints. Enhanced muscular coordination. Increased circulation of the blood to various parts of the body. Increased energy levels (resulting from increased circulation)

There is a link between stretching and reducing the effects of arthritis. Doctors argue on both sides of this point. I know for myself that a 15 minute stretch helps my muscles and joints face the day. I have more range of motion in my joints. Without stretching, I could not effectively run 15 miles a week.

Always start slow. Cold muscles need time to warm up. Remember major pain is not good. Minor pains felt while stretching may be normal for some. This is why we consult doctors. We do our homework and learn what is natural.

Never stay stagnant.

    This is so true – I stretched while reading this! Always stretch as it does a body good. A little bit of stretching in the morning makes for a better day. Thank you for the reminder. And, like you said – NEVER STAY STAGNANT. Amen to those words. Have a great day.
